LA Sun Film Fest Selects Where Did We Go Wrong?

It’s a great day for me and the entire team of Where Did We Go Wrong. LA Sun Film Fest selected our film. This is the first film festival selection.

Where Did We Go Wrong is a film inspired by a true story. Yes, it had to do with me, haha. Mike ends up going on two dates with a girl he likes. For unknown reasons, the girl disappears, and Mike hasn’t heard from her since their second date. The story tells from Mike’s point of view. The film is directed, produced, written, and starred by yours truly.

The film was released on July 15th on YouTube. We reached over 200 views. After 11 days on YouTube, I decided to take down the film because I want to pitch our the film to film festivals. I got motivated to do this after so many positive feedback from friends and colleagues. Where Did We Go Wrong might be a film that will draw a lot of attention to film festivals. The first one happened to be LA Sun Film Fest.

It all started with an invitation. This festival send a private message to the Instagram film page, and they graciously invited me to submit to their festival. I’m glad I made the right decision to submit. LA Sun Film Fest is an online monthly and annual film festival on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. I’m looking forward to what happens next. This is the first of many festivals coming my way.

Last Christmas

It’s not Christmas season yet, but I was in the mood for some Christmas films. Today’s Christmas film was Last Christmas, starring Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding.

Clarke is known for Game of Thrones, one of the greatest shows ever. Henry is coming off the success of Crazy Rich Asians. One of the things I like about Last Christmas is the chemistry between Emilia and Henry. I wouldn’t mind seeing another movie with the two of them together.

Clarke amazed me with her comedic timing. She showed me that she could do comedy as well. I love seeing the versatility of an actor. Golding is known for playing a charming role. There’s no doubt that he’s going to have a long career in the film industry. We will see a lot more from him. Critics were a little too harsh on the film, but I think it’s a likable and enjoyable film. You can’t go wrong with a Christmas Rom-Com. It reminds me of Hallmark movies. Yes, Hallmark movies are phenomenal and have a beautiful message. Last Christmas is not a great film, but it’s not bad either. It’s touching, heartwarming, and a feel-good story.

What I wasn’t too pleased is the plot twist in the movie. I felt that the writing wasn’t so persuasive when it came to that. I’m not going to spoil it because I’m sure some people haven’t seen it yet. Besides that, I love the Christmas atmosphere, production design, and acting.
