ViacomCBS to Sell CBS Studios Radford Lot

ViacomCBS is putting the CBS Studio Center lot in Studio City in Los Angeles.

The company runs Hollywood studio Paramount Pictures.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a possible deal to sell off the 40-acre production lot with 18 soundstages is part of ViacomCBS’ plan to offload noncore assets to focus on the streaming space. 

A real estate firm Harbor Group International bought the Black Rock midtown Manhattan property, known as the CBS building, for $760 million, with ViacomCBS taking out a short-term lease at the location.

Silent film producer and director Mack Sennett opened it in 1928. Soon, many shows made an impact on television like Seinfeld, Gilligan’s Island, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and, others.
