Penguins Star Sidney Crosby Scores 500th Career Goal

On Tuesday, Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby scored his 500th career regular-season goal with his first-period tally against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The play Pittsburgh fans will long remember came at the 16:34 mark of the first period when forward Evgeni Malkin set up Crosby with a nice pass on the power play, allowing Crosby to fire the past puck goaltender Carter Hart.

Crosby is the 46th player in NHL history to reach the 500-goal plateau and the 18th with one franchise. He is the second Penguin to score 500 goals, joining Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux.
