Jets and Giants will play their annual preseason game this Sunday afternoon to close out the preseason. It’s the battle of New York football. The most important part of this game will be the quarterback position for both teams and the way the coaches will manage their playing time for this game. 

Hawaii defeated Tennessee 5-1 to advance to the Little League World Series championship game. Hawaii will play Curacao on Sunday.

Utah State took care of business against Connecticut. Utah quarterback Logan Bonner threw three touchdown passes. Running back Calvin Tyler Jr rushed for 161 yards. Utah State defeated Connecticut, 31-20. 

The Mets played the Old Timers Game on Saturday afternoon. 1986 World Series MVP Ray Knight returned to Citi Field. Mike Piazza, Todd Zeile, Benny Agbayani, Jose Reyes, Daniel Murphy, Dwight Gooden, John Franco, Jesse Orosco, and many more Mets legends participated in the event. 

Pedro Martinez spent four seasons with the Mets during the mid-2000s. He’s not happy with the results from 2006. He was injured, and the Mets were one win away from going to the World Series, and Pedro couldn’t be out there to help the team. Therefore, he felt great to be part of the Mets Old Timers Day Game.
