The Seattle Mariners have done it. The drought is over!!! Mariners have clinched a playoff spot for the first since 2001. Fans are excited. The franchise is ecstatic. Mariners clinched after picking up a 2-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Friday. The Mariners have been one of the hottest teams in the second half of the season. 

Damian Lillard is 531 points shy of breaking Clyde Drexler’s all-time franchise scoring mark. Drexler is a Hall of Famer and is the Trail Blazers’ all-time scoring leader with 18,040 points. Lillard is also a future hall of Famer and soon will be the king of the new record. 

After trailing 14-0 to New Mexico State, UNLV Rebels rallied to win the contest, 31-20. Rebels quarterback Doug Brumfield completed 24 of his 33 passes and threw for 233 yards. Special teams did their thing. Kicker Daniel Gutierrez went 3 for 3 in field goals. The longest field goal went for 50 yards.
