Tyler Reddick surprised the NASCAR by winning the 2024 Talladega Superspeedway race. It is Reddick’s first career win at Talladega. It’s also his sixth Cup Series victory. Reddick represents and is part of the 23XI Racing team, which is co-owned by the G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. Jordan had never been on the track before. It all changed until Sunday when his team won a race. Jordan was smiling a lot and was very proud to see Tyler win.
During the interview on Fox, Michael Jordan said that NASCAR replaced a lot of the competitiveness he had in basketball because, in basketball, he had total control. However, when it comes to NASCAR, he doesn’t have control. Therefore, he would have to rely on the drivers and crew chief. Jordan is “all in,” and he is proud of the entire Jordan team.
Michael McDowell was dominating the race. He came so close to winning Talladega, but his car crashed trying to block competitors from approaching the finish line. It was a devastating loss for McDowell and his team. McDowell will take this as a learning lesson and will be highly motivated for the next race.
