Pitbull, known as Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide, continues making power moves. A hard-working artist who has sold millions of records added another significant achievement to his resume. Florida International University and Pitbull have reached an agreement. Pitbull will pay the university about $1.2 million per year for the next five years to have the stadium named after him. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the “Pitbull Stadium.”

The name has a nice ring to it. Having a stadium after being named you must be an incredible feeling. The Cuban-American recording artist continues to amaze everyone, not only through his music but also through his business ventures. Pitbull, whose birth name is Armando Christian Pérez, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He has overcome hardships and has come a long way since breaking into the music industry with his 2004 debut album M.I.A.M.I.

Pitbull wants to bring more attention to the university and change the culture through his energy and business intelligence. The man is known for being the life of the party through his music, especially with his unforgettable songs like “Give Me Everything” and “Timber.” In his deal with F.I.U., here’s what is part of the package:

F.I.U.’s first game at “Pitbull Stadium” will be on Sept. 7 against Central Michigan. The stadium is going to be rocking. This is a historic day for the program, which has been struggling for years. Hopefully, this move will mark the start of something special.
