Two-time Academy Award actor Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead in their Santa Fe, New Mexico home.
There’s no indication or evidence that this was a foul play. There are no details about what was the case of their death. The investigation will be far from over.
Hackman and his wife have lived in Santa Fe since the 1980s and have been married since 1991. The news of their death sent shockwaves through the industry. Hackman was 95 years old.
Hackman is known for being a terrific actor and versatile. He has appeared in some of the best films, such as The French Connection, Unforgiven, Hoosiers, The Replacements, Mississippi Burning, the Lex Luther character in the Superman films, and many more.
He won an Oscar for Best Actor in The French Connection and Best Supporting Actor in Unforgiven. Hackman was admired and respected by his peers in the entertainment industry.
Hackman was born in California and grew up with his grandmother. He joined the Marines during his teen years and served for four and a half years in China, Japan, and Hawaii.
Hackman made his Broadway debut in 1964 with the play Any Wednesday. He was excellent on stage and screen, making massive contributions to the industry. He is an example of an artist to learn from.
