Arthur Fils’s match with Francis Tiafoe is one of the most electrifying and rollercoaster matches of the season. Fils defeated Tiafoe 7-6(11), 5-7, 6-2 at the hard-court ATP Masters 1000 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The 20-year-old Frenchman will face Alexander “Sascha” Zverev in the next round.
Fils might not be everyone’s favorite cup of tea because of his personality, but he has a tremendous fighting spirit. Yes, he can get a little impatient, but he is one talented tennis player and a gamer. He has insane power in his shots.
Tiafoe gave everything he had, frustrating Fils during some parts of the match. Fils did a great job making a comeback and not getting flustered for the remainder of the match. Both men gave outstanding performances, and the fans earned what they paid for.
With this victory, Fils becomes the first Frenchman to reach the fourth round of Indian Wells and Miami in the same season since Jeremy Chardy in 2018.
