Cincinnati Reds ace Hunter Greene was absolutely dominant against the San Francisco Giants in a 2-0 win on Monday night.

Greene and San Francisco Giants ace put a sensational pitcher’s duel. Both men were cooking on the mound.

Greene finished his start with seven strikeouts, allowing four hits and no earned runs through seven innings. His best pitching performance of the season so far and earned his first win of the year.

Webb had 10 strikeouts, allowed four hits, no earned runs through seven innings.

Right fielder Blake Dunn led the offensive by hitting a clutch standing two-run double to right field in the top of the eighth inning to bring in Spencer Steer and Jacob Hurtubise home. Tony Santillan earned the save for the Reds.

The Giants are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now. Greene shutting down a very good Giants lineup is magnificent and helps the Reds build their confidence from now on. The Reds needed this win and must go on a winning streak. The Reds improve to 4-7.

Nick Lodolo will take the mound for the Reds on Tuesday night against Landen Roupp. The first pitch will be at 9:40 EST.
