Miami Heat made it interesting but couldn’t stop Donovan Mitchell from scoring. The Heat lost to the Cavs 121-112 and went down 0-2 in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Tyler Herro had a strong performance against the Cavs. Herro led the Heat with 33 points on a 14 of 24 shooting from the field, knocking down 4 of 11 three-pointers. Bam Adebayo added 11 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists and came one short of a triple-double.

Davian Mitchell continues to provide everything the Heat has asked of him. Mitchell scored 18 points with six assists and shot 7 of 9 from the field. Haywood Highsmith was huge for the Heat, adding 17 points in 26 minutes of playing time off the bench.

Overall, The Heat shot nearly 52 percent from the field. The Cavs, however, had one of the best three-point shooting games of the season. The Cavs made 22 three-pointers in Game 2.

Donovan Mitchell and Herro were going back and forth, exchanging baskets in the second half, but Mitchell delivered as the closer. Mitchell scored 30 points and made 7 out of 10 three-pointers.

Turnovers hurt the Heat. They committed 13 turnovers. The Heat can’t afford to have that many turnovers to beat a good team like the Cavs. However, the Heat battled and fought hard in this game. The Heat trialed as many as 19.

If you’re the Heat, you must feel good about your chances going into Game Three. The Heat almost stole one on the road. They need to play great Hear basketball for 48 minutes.

Game Three will be on Saturday at 1 pm at the Kaseya Center.
