Scottie Scheffler has done it again. The No. 1 world Golfer wins the 2025 BMW Championship. He finished the tournament with a 3-under 67 for a two-shot victory.
Scheffler made some significant adjustments in his game. Round Four was a day to remember for him. His performance was astonishing. Scheffler joins Tiger Woods as the only players to win at least five PGA Tour events in consecutive seasons. Scheffler did it last year and this year. Woods did it in 2006 and 2007.
“I feel like I made some improvements in my putting,” Scheffler said. “I feel like this year I made key putts. Today was one of the first days I was in contention this year, where I wasn’t holding the putts. Today, I did a good job staying patient.”
Being patient is undoubtedly vital, especially in the game of Golf. Scheffler spends 4-5 hours on the golf course. He will play hard for as long as he can during that time frame. His Sunday performance caught the attention of athletes like LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes.
This win marks Scheffler’s second-largest comeback of his career. Robert MacIntyre entered Day Four as the leader in the scoreboard. He was on the verge of winning this event. However, Scheffler’s 17th green became the primary factor in why he walked away with the money and trophy.
It’s a bitter loss for MacIntyre as he almost had it. He finished 13-under for the week. Other performers, such as Maverick McNealy, had a good weekend but didn’t win, finishing in third at 11-under. Tommy Fleetwood and Sam Burns finished in the Top Five.
Scheffler only needs the U.S. Open trophy to complete the career grand slam. He took home $3.6 million as the event winner with a $5 million bonus from the PGA Tour. Scheffler has won 18 career PGA tour wins in total.
