NBA player Jonathan Isaac launches his first Christian basketball shoe.
Isaac plays for the Orlando Magic. He’s outspoken about his faith and spirituality. Releasing Christian shoes is a game-changer, and it’s something that has never been done before.
In an interview with Fox Business, Isaac explained what made him want to start a faith-based sneaker.
“Back in 2020, I was signed to Nike, and I injured myself and could not re-sign with Nike,” Isaac said. “I went to my pastor then and said, ‘What am I gonna do?’ And he said, ‘Why don’t you create your own sneaker?’ And that’s how Judah One was born.”
Isaac’s mission with the sneakers is to empower athletes to spread the word of God and to be confident enough to express it, and the sneakers are a way to represent this.
Isaac had a relationship with Charlie Kirk. They didn’t always agree with everything, but they were able to be civil about it. Isaac disapproves and feels saddened about Kirk’s sudden passing, but he’s honoring him in his own way.
“I hope Charlie will rest in peace, and I know he is with our lord and Savior.”
Jesus Christ has changed Isaac’s life and heart. He loves to encourage people, and it’s great that he’s serving God by doing the right things and using his intelligence and business to help others and make a difference.
