Wintertime makes a traveler want to get out and go somewhere warm and tropical. January and February are perhaps the coldest months of the year.

What are some of the best places to travel in February?

Dominican Republic

Traveling to the Dominican Republic during the winter is not only affordable, but the weather is fantastic over there. Palm trees, nice beach water, great food, great music, the people are incredible, etc., it’s a no-brainer to have this one on your list.

There are so many parts of the Dominican Republic that travelers can visit, including Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Santiago, Samaná, Las Terrenas, Jarabacoa, and many more.

Cartagena, Colombia

One of the best places to travel for arts and culture. Colombia is known to have great coffee. However, they are very creative with designs, paintings, and museums.

‘Vitrola’ and ‘Calle De Los Dulces’ are some of the best spots to go to for food and nightlife.

Nassau, Bahamas

A beautiful island to travel to during the winter months. The Bahamas have a rich history. The country has many incredible beaches, including Cabbage Beach. Blue Lagoon Island is a great tourist attraction, especially for families.

Another family-friendly and entertainment spot is Atlantis, Paradise Island. There are water parks, casinos, and other wildlife experiences.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

The first thing that anyone should do when they land in Puerto Rico is to explore Old San Juan. There’s so much history. It’s been fun to walk everywhere in Old San Juan.

The island has fantastic food and plenty of areas to take great pictures and videos. Exploring El Yunque National Forest is definitely a must. If you want to hit the beach, then Condado Beach is a great option.
