The co-stars of “It Ends With Us,” Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, have reached a settlement, their lawyers announced on Monday.

The trial went on for a long time. We knew it would come to an end at some point, but the case should’ve never gone this long. The terms of the settlement were not made public. The whole drama between Lively and Baldoni began in 2024 during the production of the movie. Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment.

U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed the claims Lively made against Baldoni. Those claims include conspiracy, harassment, and discrimination. Four months after the movie’s release, Lively decided to take action and publish about the allegations in December 2024.

The next month, Baldoni decided to fight back by suing Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. The news about Lively and Baldoni prompted many people in the industry and movie fans in general to talk about it, and some were picking sides as well. At first, Baldoni seemed like the villain, but people started picking sides after learning more about the allegations.

It’s tricky to pick sides when we don’t know the full details but the people themselves who were involved.

Wayfarer Studios is Baldoni’s production company. Their legal teams put out a statement on Monday.

“The end product – the movie ‘It Ends With Us’ – is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind.”

Lively attended the Met Gala hours after the settlement was announced. She appeared at the Gala without her husband.
