Netflix decides to end its hit show Emily in Paris after Season 6.
Darren Star is the creator of the series. Star is a master at writing successful shows such as Beverly Hills 90210 and Sex and the City. The expectations are high for delivering in the final season.
Season Five brought a lot of success to the entire cast and crew, as well as to Netflix. Emily in Paris topped Netflix’s worldwide top 10 English-language shows for five consecutive weeks.
Lily Collins has been phenomenal in her portrayal of Emily. The series follows a young American woman from the Midwest who is hired by a marketing firm in Paris to offer an American perspective.
Collins grabbed everyone from the start of the show when she made her journey to Paris. Her acting, charisma, and charm made fans want to see each episode. That’s why she earned a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination. Also, the writing has been consistent.
The cast and crew of Emily in Paris began filming this week in Greece. Paramount Television Studios is producing the series alongside Jax Media and Darren Star Productions.
Aside from Emily in Paris, Collins is set to star in the upcoming comedy film, Close Personal Friends. starring alongside Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. Filming began in September 2025 in London and Los Angeles. Jason Orley serves as the director and writer for the project.
Emily in Paris has been one of the best feel-good series of the decade. Rom-com series can be great as long as the writing and performance deliver. We have seen many lousy scripts for the genre, especially in the 21st century.
Fans of the show are lucky to have cherished it over the last six years. There’s no doubt the final season will bring in a lot of viewers and rank in the top 10 on Netflix once again.
