Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino recently turned 64 and believes there’s still hope for the Dolphins despite their 0-2 start.

Marino played 17 seasons for the Dolphins. No other Dolphins quarterback has filled the shoes since Marino retired. The Hall of Fame is one of the greatest quarterbacks not to have a Super Bowl ring.

The Dolphins recently lost to the New England Patriots 33-27, where they had chances to win the game, but it didn’t pan out that way.

Marino joined ESPN for an interview to discuss the Dolphins’ current status.

“I feel like we have good players who can go in there and win the game,” Marino said. “That’s Mike McDaniels’s message to the players: let’s stay positive. We lost. We got a short week. Let’s get into this and see what we can do to beat the Bills up in Buffalo.”

It will not be easy to beat a great team like the Bills. The Dolphins and Bills will square off in a Thursday night football meeting on Prime Video.

This game against the Bills will be a criticism of the team. If the Dolphins can somehow manage to win this game, it can change the focus in the locker room for the rest of the season.

It’s been a mess and clumsy so far. The fact that players held a players-only meeting after Week 1 was not a good sign. The possibility of Tyreek Hill getting traded is a distraction. One win can change everything if the coach gives an eloquent speech and the players are willing to listen.

It’s nice to see Marino still pulling for his former team and has the fire in them to get it done, no matter how big the storm may be. Marino never had the mentality of a quitter, and the Dolphins players must take this message to the heart.
