Tyler Perry’s Amazon Deal, Cocaine Bear Movie, Jay Leno’s Comeback

Tyler Perry doesn’t stop working. I admire the man’s hustle and determination. I’m not crazy about the movies and shows he produces, but he doesn’t wait for anyone to give him the green light. It’s a great day to be Tyler Perry. He is getting into business with Amazon, setting up a four-movie deal. Perry will write, direct and produce four features released on Prime Video.

Cocaine Bear is a new film set to release on February 2023. It’s Elizabeth Banks’ third directing movie. The story is based on actual events about a drug runner whose plane crashes with a load of cocaine that’s found by a black bear who eats it. The film stars Keri Russell and O’Shea Jackson Jr, and it’s the last film of Ray Liotta before he passed away.

Jay Leno is back to doing standup comedy. It’s a remarkable comeback after suffering burns when a fire broke out in his Burbank garage.

Leno got discharged from the hospital about a week ago. He underwent surgery for burns on his face, chest, and hands and continues to receive outpatient care as he is expected to recover fully. Jay Leno is lucky to be alive and to have returned to doing what he loves. Leno is Mr. Longevity. I don’t see him retiring whatsoever.

Disney’s Thanksgiving Weekend Nightmare

When you go woke up, you go broke! Disney has been a massive disappointment in the entertainment industry. The kind of projects they’re producing can make anyone unwoke, scratch their head, and roll their eyes.

Disney Animation’s Strange World bombed with a five-day opening of $18.6 million. That’s the worst opening for a Disney Animation Thanksgiving title. Strange World opened just days after Bob Iger’s return as CEO of the Walt Disney Company. The action-adventure film is about a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog, and a slew of ravenous creatures.

I haven’t seen the movie, and I probably won’t because I’m sick and tired of woke politics. Supposedly, it’s Disney’s worst kid’s animated movie yet, which tells us something about Disney’s direction in the future, and I doubt Bob can raise Disney from the dead.

A lot of these companies need to tap out. Going woke won’t go anywhere but the toilet.

Sunday Sports Shorts

Syracuse snapped a five-game losing streak and defeated Boston College 32-23. Orange quarterback Garrett Shrader completed 21 of 27’passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns. Orange made an impressive comeback as they trailed by 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Edmonton Oilers rallied and came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the New York Rangers at the garden, 4-3. The Rangers left the ice with some boos from their fan base. The final 20 minutes of the game were awful performances.

St John’s Joel Soriano is one of the most improved players in college basketball. Soriano stepped up and carried the Red Storm with 21 points and 19 rebounds in a 78-70 win over Niagara. St John’s stays undefeated with a 7-0 record. Red Storm will face Long Island University on Tuesday.

The Story Behind Spielberg’s ‘The Fabelmans’

Filmmaker Steven Spielberg has a new movie out in theaters, The Fabelmans. He describes his experience as a kid wanting to become a filmmaker and his relationship with his parents. It is a movie we have been waiting for 45 years from Steven Spielberg. We thought we knew Steven Spielberg, but we’re going to get to know him well with this latest film. We will see his vulnerable side telling this story.

Spielberg has directed films in the past that were science fiction, historical drama, etc. But this film is entirely different and unique. There’s a high chance it will be a movie that will make a strong case for Academy Award nominations.

Spielberg was the oldest of four children. His father, Arnold, portrayed by actor Paul Dano, was an engineer. Spielberg’s father didn’t believe in Steven’s passion for film. He thought it was a pipe dream and mission impossible to break through. His mother, on the other hand, was supportive of her son, and it gave him a lot of motivation to pursue his dreams. Steven’s mother, Leah, portrayed by actress Michelle Williams, was a gifted pianist. During an interview with CBS, Steven spoke highly of Michelle Williams. After each take, Michelle would approach Steven and ask him if she could do anything else to make the performance better. Steven liked that about Michelle. Also, Michelle expressed how grateful she was to portray this role, and it’s probably one of her favorite roles she’s ever done in her career thus far.

Paul Dano and Michelle Williams are two talented actors who I believe will get some nominations. Michelle Williams is due for an Oscar. She has come a long way from her days in Dawson’s Creek

As for Steven Spielberg, he knew he couldn’t tell this story while his parents were alive because he didn’t want to disappoint them or have any issues. His parents are deceased now, which opened the gates for Steven to tell this story. Steven and his family had to move from New Jersey to Arizona to California because of Arnold’s career. These decisions had to make Leah put her dreams and goals on hold to help raise the kids at home.

I’m looking forward to seeing The Fabelmans online. The trailer looks good. The cast is solid and directed by the legend Steven Spielberg, who also wears the producer hat in this film.

Saturday Morning Sports with Miguel

The New York Knicks could not get it done against the Portland Trail Blazers without Damian Lillard. Knicks had problems against one of the Blazer’s best players. His name is Jerami Grant – a talented and underrated player who I think it’s a solid two-way player. Grant poured 44 points on the Knocks as the Blazers left the garden with a 132-129 overtime victory.

In college basketball, the Oklahoma Sooners have won their fifth straight game by defeating Seton Hall, 77-64. Grant Sherfield scored a season-high 25 points for the Sooners.

During the semifinals of the Phil Knight Invitational, Duke took care of business against Xavier. Jeremy Roach led the Blue Devils with 21 points in a 71-64 win. Duke will face Iowa State in the championship game.

Aside from Edwin Diaz, Adam Ottavino has been the Mets’ most dependable reliever this last season. There’s a possibility that Ottavino could be playing elsewhere. It’s a dicey situation because Adam loves playing for New York. Ottavino is 37 years old and has posted a 2.06 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 66 appearances. What will the Mets do in this situation?

Legendary Toronto Maple Leaf defenseman Borje Salming passed away. He played in the NHL from 1973 through 1990. Salming was a tough player during his career in a challenging physical era. He was a pioneer as a Swedish player and paved the way for many upcoming Swedish hockey players in the future. Salming was one of the best two-way players in the league. In the past year, up until his death, he was battling ALS, which limited him to many things, including speaking.

Miguel’s Friday Thoughts: Lacey Chabert’s ‘Haul Out The Holly’

Welcome to Miguel’s Friday Thoughts! Happy Friday! I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving with your loved ones. We are blessed in so many ways. Not many people today can be at home for the holidays, and many families are grieving because of deaths that are occurring lately. On a happy note, the Christmas season is here, and Hallmark is the best network to catch some Christmas movies nonstop.

Lacey Chabert, the Queen of Hallmark Christmas movies, doesn’t stop working and will continue to amaze us with her performance. Chabert is starring in a new Hallmark movie, Haul Out the Holly, which premieres on Saturday at 8 pm.

Chabert is one of the biggest reasons why I watch Hallmark Christmas movies. She’s a talented actress and a great asset to the network. Hollywood tried to typecast her, but she’s better off working for Hallmark. The leading role suits her perfectly in any Hallmark Christmas movie.

I’m looking forward to seeing this new movie. Here’s the poster from Hallmark.

Sports Throwback Thursday: The Butt Fumble

It may be Friday, but I can’t forget to write about Sports Throwback Thursday. We will take it back to Thanksgiving 2012 in the AFC East matchup between the anew England Patriots vs. New York Jets. Why is this game memorable in my eyes? Because of an embarrassing moment that no athlete wants to be remembered for unless they have high self-esteem or have a “forget it” attitude. The game is known as the “butt fumble” game. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will forever be known as the guy who committed the butt fumble.

I remember being in my sister’s house when my best friend told me about this. I wasn’t watching the game at the moment, but his reaction through text message made me want to check out the highlights. I couldn’t believe what I saw and had to laugh about it.

Many NFL players around the league did not realize the fumble was funny until they saw the replays on television at home. The infamous “butt fumble” made it to Sportscenter’s Top 10 of worst of the worst. This game was the beginning of the end for Mark Sanchez. It was an embarrassing game for the Jets. They were awful. The Patriots blew them out 48-15.

Jason David Frank (Tommy): My Childhood Hero

Being a 90s kid is one of the most fulfilling moments of my life. There were so many great things that I’m grateful for during my childhood years. One of the best things about my childhood was growing up watching the Power Rangers. Jason David Frank, who portrayed the character of Tommy, was my favorite ranger and my childhood hero. He was almost every 90s boy’s favorite childhood hero. I loved watching the Tommy characters in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers: Zeo, and Power Rangers: Turbo. It’s surreal and heartbreaking to discover that Jason David Frank died of suicide. He was 49.

It pissed me off to hear another celebrity or human being take his life away. According to what I’ve read, supposedly, he was getting divorced from his wife, and they got Into a heated argument. Whatever happened behind closed doors drove him to take his own life away. Could it be that he took his life away, or it was a murder, and it made it seem like it was him all along? We don’t know the full details or truth behind this tragedy. We never know what a human being is going through.

Depression is serious. There are many different levels of depression. I firmly believe that if a person has god in their heart, believes in god, and read the Bible, they would not go to extreme measures and take their own life away. I’ve faced depression before. It’s not easy. I’m happy now than ever because I have god in my heart. Like Cece Winans said, “I’ve got Jesus. So I’ve got joy.” Once you accept god in your life, you don’t fear anything, and you become a much better human being. You have peace within yourself.

As for Jason David Frank, I will forever be indebted to him for giving us incredible memories as a ranger. He reunites with Thuy Trang (yellow ranger) and goes into battle as they did in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. Sadly, he won’t be around for the 30th anniversary next year. I’m going to create content for one video or a mini-series paying homage to the show and discuss some of the best episodes of the show. Therefore, I’m looking forward to collaborating with my fellow show fans.

Devils Reaches No. 13

The New Jersey Devils are having an impeccable season. Edmonton flew to New Jersey to try to end the Devil’s winning streak on Monday night. Edmonton failed to fulfill its duty.

The Devils defeated Oilers 5-2. Nico Hishier posted three assists for the Devils. Goaltender Vitek Vanecek had 28 saves. The devils have won 13 straight games. It’s the first time they’ve done this since 2001.

For the second time this season, Devils came out victorious against a Stanley Cup contender team, the Edmonton Oilers. During their last meeting, the Devils rallied to beat the Oilers 4-3 in Edmonton on Nov. 3.
