Emotional Victory: Arizona State Outlasts Texas Tech in Close Game

By Miguel Mike Medina

Texas Tech against the Arizona State Sun Devils was worth every Penny to watch the game. The Sun Devils delivered in the final moments of the game to win 26-22.

Emotions were very high. Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham was so overcome with emotion that he left the interview to celebrate with his players.

Sun Devils quarterback Sam Leavitt made all the difference in this game. This young man is very talented and entertaining to watch. His chemistry with wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is special.

For most of the game, it came down to defense and field goals. The Sun Devils struggled to score touchdowns in the end zone. Both teams began to pick it up in the fourth quarter.

The Sun Devils entered the fourth with a 19-7 lead. The Red Raiders responded by scoring two touchdowns, which gave them a 22-21 lead.

Running back Ryleek Brown gave the Sun Devils the lead when he ran for a 1-yard touchdown. Brown finished the game with 19 carries and 69 yards. Tyson finished with a strong 10 receptions, 105 yards, and a touchdown.

We also have to give a lot of credit to the kicker J. Gomez, as he went 4-for-4 with the field goals. His kicks melt the Sun Devils in the game. It’s a game where the Sun Devils had many heroes.

It was a huge and important win for the Sun Devils after losing badly to the Utah Utes last Saturday. The Sun Devils improve to 5-2. Texas Tech suffered its first loss of the season.

We had this game marked in our calendar, and it’s a great day to be a Sun Devils fan. The game lived up to the hype. It will go down as a classic Big 12 heavyweight game.
