Chase Briscoe is heading to the championship four after winning at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.
It’s a big year for Joe Gibbs Racing. Denny Hamlin won last week, and now Briscoe will join his teammate to compete for the championship. It’s Briscoe’s first year with Joe Gibbs Racing.
Briscoe took his No. 19 Toyota car and won in overtime when he took the final lap over the other drivers, Todd Gilliland and Ty Gibbs. Briscoe was visibly emotional after he passed the checkered flag for the victory. The ending of the ride was competitive, intense, and thrilling. It’s a feel-good victory for Briscoe and the entire team.
Could there be a possibility that we may see three drivers from JGR heading to Phoenix for the Championship 4?
Christopher Bell is having perhaps the best season of his racing career. He finished in the top 10. This time, he will most likely join his teammates. Bell had a heartbreaking end to his season last year, and we doubt he will get screwed over for the second year in a row.
The Phoenix Raceway is just two weeks away. We will have ourselves a new champion and exciting competition.
