The Detroit Red Wings overcome a four-goal deficit to rally and win against the St Louis Blues 6-4 at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday.
It was the fifth four-goal comeback win in Red Wings history. Many Red Wings contribute to the victory. Simon Advinsson scored two goals in the third period. Andrew Copp played a significant role with two assists. J.T. Compher and Jonatan Berggren each provided the team with a goal and an assist.
Dylan Larkin has been effective in every game this season, but on Saturday, his eight-point game streak came to an end. Alex DeBrincat also scored a goal for the Red Wings. He scored the most crucial goal of the game when he tied it at 4-4 in the third period.
The Red Wings had previously lost their last two games, and it almost looked like they were about to suffer a third consecutive loss, but the team found inspiration and never gave up.
The Red Wings scored three goals in the second and three more in the third period. Red Wings went 1 for 3 on power play and won 49 percent of their face-offs.
Goaltender John Gibson made 25 of his 29 saves.
Detroit will have a rematch against the Blues in St Louis on Oct 28.
