Rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to the hospital after not feeling well during her performance in Broadway’s ‘Moulin Rouge: The Musical.”
The 31-year-old Stallion made her Broadway debut on March 24. It’s the worst feeling to get sick out of nowhere while you’re performing on stage. She committed to performing for eight weeks. Stallion won’t be performing today due to her health. When she gets better and comes back to the stage, she will be performing in the musical through May 17.
Fans were instantly worried about her. The rapper made sure to let fans know she’s in good spirits and receiving the right treatment.
“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance, but I just couldn’t, she wrote via Instagram.
“Hotties, I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me, and I hate letting y’all down. I need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been taking care of myself. I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything..”
Megan is from Houston, Texas. She achieved success beginning in 2019. Throughout her career, she has won numerous accolades, such as the BET Awards. American Music Awards, MTV Music Video Awards, and three Grammy Awards. Megan joins Lauryn Hill as the only female rappers to win a Grammy for Best New Artist.
It’s always interesting to see music artists make the transition from singing or rapping to acting, whether on stage, in film, or on television. Megan’s performance on Broadway could be the beginning of a sensational career as an actress.
