Daniel Suarez won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday and was visibly emotional in victory lane, dedicating it to Kyle Busch.

It’s Suarez’s third career cup series win. He snaps an 82-race winless streak. The feeling of finally winning is a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. The entire team celebrated the victory with him. Busch was definitely with him in spirit.

“This one really means a lot,” Suarez said. “I’ve been saying this for years that this is my favorite race of the year. I get to have my family here every year. Most of the time, this is the only race I get to come to, and it’s been a tough week for me. Kyle was a special man. This one is for Kyle, for Samantha, for Brexton, for Lennix, for all his family.”

Every victory is special, but this one hits different because of Kyle. It’s been a rainy Memorial Day weekend, and NASCAR paid tribute before the race. We give NASCAR a lot of credit for the way they handled everything this week, especially during the weekend race at Charlotte. Everyone congratulates Suarez, even the great Jimmie Johnson.

“If it wasn’t for Kyle, I wasn’t going to be an Xfinity champion,” Suarez said. ” I wasn’t going to have a shot at the cup series, and to be able to win the race for him is unbelievable.”

Suarez and the team had many issues during the race. They managed to fight it through, and everyone stepped it up and didn’t give up. What a drive for Suarez and the entire team should raise their heads. Hopefully, this win can give him more momentum and tenacity to win more races.
