Novak Djokovic has done it.

One of the greatest Tennis players of all time and a future hall of famer, Djokovic, won his first gold medal and became the oldest men’s Olympic singles champion at age 37. He adds Olympic gold to every Grand Slam in the book (24 total). He beat Carlos Alcaraz 7-6, 7-6 in a truly stunning final. Following knee surgery, Djokovic found his peak level from ball one—just a mind-boggling achievement at 37.

Carlos Alcaraz has lost two finals in 10 Grand Slams, Masters 1000, and Olympic Games finals. His only two losses were against Djokovic in August 2023 (Cincinnati Masters) and 2024 (Paris Olympics). In July 2023 and 2024, he won the Wimbledon final.

Novak Djokovic has won four US Open titles, seven Wimbledon titles, three French Open titles, ten Australian Open titles, and 24 Grand Slam titles, earning over $182M in ATP earnings. He was missing a gold medal, and now he has captured it.
