By Miguel Mike Medina

Week 6 of College Football will go down as one of the best weekends of the season. There were many upsets and thrilling finishes.

Vanderbilt Stuns No. 1 Alabama

It’s the biggest upset of the weekend. Vanderbilt Commodores defeated the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, 40-35. It’s the Commodores’ first win against a Top-5 team in 61 tries. The Commodores have not beaten Crimson Tide since Sep 1984. The streak is over.

It’s probably the biggest win in their program history. Quarterback Diego Paris went 16-of-20 for 252 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Arkansas Upsets Tennessee

Arkansas Razorbacks came back to beat the Tennessee Volunteers, 19-14. The Razorbacks trailed 14-3 and rallied by scoring 16 unanswered points. Malachi Singleton rushed for an 11-yard touchdown to put the Razonbacks’ ahead late in the fourth quarter.

Syracuse Orange Spoile UNLV’s Happy Week

Stead’s rallied and beat UNLV Rebels in overtime, 44-41. The Orange handed the Rebels their first loss. Lequint Allen was in pain all night long in his left leg. He showed toughness and refused to come out of the game.

Allen responded by scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime. Orange quarterback Kyle McCord, who transferred out of Ohio State, threw for 355 yards with three touchdowns. Rebels’ Ricky White III had ten catches for 135 yards and a touchdown.

A few days ago, the Rebels made it to AP’s Top 25 for the first time in program history. Losing to the Orange will drop them.
