Edmonton Oilers won 4-2 against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night, their second win in a row.
Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway returned to play against their former teams in a Blues uniform.
The Oilers fans booed Broberg and Holloway every time they touched the puck.
Holloway would eventually score a goal for the Blues late in the game.
Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch shared his thoughts with the media about fans booing the former Oiler players.
“Oilers fans are very passionate,” Knoblauch said. “They love their team, and they’re probably feeling that two players chose not to be here, and the fans were showing their disapproval for that, but you know, I don’t think it’s they’re just ultimately they’re not showing, so much hatred for the players they’re just showing support for their team.”
Oilers captain Connor McDavid scored a goal and assisted in this game. McDavid has 27 points in his last 13 games.
Corey Perry, Zach Hyman, and Troy Stecher also scored for the Oilers.
Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 29 shots.
“I thought it was pretty solid for the most part,” Skinner said. “There’s a couple of details that we definitely left out, but that takes everyone just to step up and be a little bit better, but I think overall the way we ground, the way that we pushed, I thought we pushed the pace. A lot of sacrifice blocks out there, which helped my game.”
The Oilers improved to 15-10-2 and will play the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.
