Christian Rasmussen wins the 2025 Snap-On Milwaukee Mile 250 IndyCar Series on Sunday. Rasmussen seals first NTT IndyCar Series victory in the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250.
Rasmussen delivered a strong performance in the final 28 laps competing against a great driver in Alex Palou, who was leading several laps in this race. Palou is a 4-time IndyCar champion. Scott McLaughlin finished third in the race.
The Danish driver seized every opportunity to gain an edge and win this race. The weather caution played a factor. When the rain occurred, Rasmussen came down to pit road and put fresh new tires. At one point in the race, he was in eighth place. Without the rainy conditions, we could’ve had a different outcome.
Rasmussen made his team proud, especially owner Ed Carpenter. He never stopped believing in him and knew he was bound to win at some point. Taking advantage of his new tires made a huge difference. It’s a collective team effort and a weekend they will never forget.
“Today was amazing,” Rasmussen said after the race. “We were talking before the race that if there’s a late caution, then we want to go with new tires because it’s such an advantage. So, more people did it than I thought there would be, but it was definitely the right choice. We were so good on new tires, even compared to other cars on new tires. It’s a good Sunday.”
There’s only one remaining race left for the 2025 IndyCar season. The next race will be next Sunday, August 31, at the Nashville Superspeedway.
