Academy award-winning actor Christian Bale is known for his range and playing various characters, including the superhero character Batman. Still, now he’s becoming a real-life superhero by trying to keep foster children together.

Bale believes that about 75 percent of the time, brothers and sisters get separated from their families. He knows that it brings a lot of trauma to think that these kids are being ripped apart from their parents.

Bale decided to take action and make a difference. He’s building a project called “Together California,” a foster care home designed to keep orphaned siblings from being separated. Bale used to move around when he was a kid.

“I don’t think you have to have any connection to foster care in your past,” Bale said. “It’s just basic understanding that as a society, how can we not take care of our children. So I don’t think it requires a connection. It just requires having a heart.”

Many millionaires and billionaires can take a page from Bale in terms of how to use their wealth to help a cause. Bale’s daughter is one of the most significant driving forces behind his decision to start this.

During his interview on CBS’s Sunday Morning, we learned a wild statistic that hopefully in the future those numbers can go higher. About three percent of the 400,000 kids in foster care ever graduate from college. Kids must flourish and progress in the future, and Bale is teaming up with the right people to make this happen. Working with Tim McCormick will be crucial for this process to work out.

McCormick ran foster homes in Chicago for decades. As for Bale, his next role will be in the upcoming monster film The Bride, which he will play as Frankenstein’s monster. The Bride will hit the theaters in March 2026. distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.
