The Detroit Red Wings beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 in preseason action.

Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Larkin scored in this game. Both of their goals came at the right time. Goaltender Cam Talbot made 18 saves on the night.

Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz made 40 saves, but the Leafs’ offense couldn’t get anything going.

The Red Wings looked very impressive on Thursday night. The team showed a lot of hustle and never gave up. The Wings have a lot of offensive zone time, which is a plus. However, the team needs to improve, especially in power play situations.
