Former major league outfielder, Jeremy Giambi’s death has been ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. On Wednesday morning, Giambi, 47, was found dead in his mother’s home in Claremont, California. A report released by the coroner’s office listed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest. 

Could you not call it a comeback? Is it safe to say that Klay Thompson is back? Well, you best believe he is officially back. On Saturday, Klay Thompson went for 33 points in Golden State’s 105-103 victory over the Lakers, his first 30-point game since Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals when he tore his ACL. Thompson made 5 of 9 from 3 and 10 of 22 shots overall, and 16 of his points came in an electric fourth quarter. 

Frank Beckmann, the play-by-play voice of Michigan football for 33 years who also had long stints calling games for the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, has died at age 72 in hospice care. Beckmann suffered from vascular dementia and had several strokes recently.

Ottawa Senators forward Austin Watson has been suspended two games for interference on Boston Bruins defenceman Jack Ahcan, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced on Sunday. On Saturday, the incident occurred at 8:07 of the first period in the Senators’ 2-0 loss to the Bruins.
