Mike Vrabel agrees to become the next New England Patriots head coach.

Vrabel won three Super Bowls as a player with the Patriots and played for them as a linebacker from 2001 through 2008.

Vrabel is well-liked and respected by his players. He’s more of a players coach. He won the 2021 Coach of the Year when he led the Tennessee Titans to a 12-5 record. He was the Titans head coach for six seasons from 2018 through 2023. Vrabel went 56-48 during his tenure with the Titans.

It’s a solid signing by the Patriots, who have been struggling for the last two seasons. The team unfairly fired coach Jerod Mayo after just one season, so Mayo didn’t get a fair shake.

The Patriots have gone 4-13 in the last two seasons. Can Vrabel bring the Patriots back to glory?

It’s going to take a lot of work to bring the organization to a winning path, including drafting good players, developing prospects, and avoiding injuries.

Vrabel brings mental toughness, and the Lateiors hope that Vrabel can be the second coming of Bill Parcells in his unique way.
