Tyler Herro led the Miami Heat to a 125-109 overtime victory over rival Orlando Magic.
Herro led the Heat with 30 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds, and he hit a big three to put the ice on the game for the team.
Bam Adebayo contributed 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. He had himself a good night. Kel’el Ware continues to make his case for Rookie of the Year. Ware finished with 19 points (4-4 3PT FG), 10 rebounds, two steals, and one block.
Nikola Jovic added 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Duncan Robinson had 15 points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Terry Rozier added 11 points. A total of six Heat players are in double figures.
It’s the Heat’s best win of the season. The game was pure cinema. Ware made a big block late in the second overtime. It’s great to see Adebayo show some emotion and aggression in his attacks to the rim.
Adebayo played this game like a playoff Jimmy Butler. Herro and Adebayo complement each other so well on the court.
This new era of the Heat without Butler might not be so bad. We see Herro and Adebayo becoming this franchise’s new leaders and duo.
Here’s what Herro had to say after the game, speaking to the media about Adebayo’s impact and the team’s strength.
“That’s a strength of ours now. Having Bam playing the four where he can roam around… running around/flying around/making plays… I think it’s a luxury to have Kel’el under the rim, protecting the paint… makes our defense more dynamic.”

Herro is expected to take more shots as the season progresses. Herro’s 50-point performance is on the horizon.
