Actor and producer Jason Statham has a new action thriller, A Working Man, and is doing impressively well at the box office, ranking up to 87 million worldwide.
A Working Man stars Statham, Jason Flemyng, Michael Peña, and David Harbour. David Ayer is the director and co-wrote the script with Sylvester Stallone. The film has received mixed reviews from movie critics and fans. So far, it has received 49 percent from Rotten Tomatoes and 87 percent from Fandango.
The film centers around Levon Cade, played by Statham, who left a military career in the black ops to live a simple life of working construction. Things changed when human traffickers kidnap his boss’s daughter. Therefore, Cade goes on a mission to search for her and bring her home.
A Working Man hit theaters on March 28 and plays in AMC Ridge Field Park 12 and AMC Bay Plaza Cinema 13.
Statham is one of the most popular and bankable movie stars, especially in the action genre. When you see his name or watch him in trailers, you must tune in because whether the movie succeeds or not, Statham’s performance and martial arts techniques bring you closer to the screen.
The 57-year-old is no stranger to playing tough and gritty characters in his movies. Statham still goes strong and will continue to do so for many years. We see Statham following in the footsteps of Stallone and Jackie Chan in terms of making action films for a very long time.
Statham is best known for films such as The Expendables film series, the Fast and Furious franchise, the Transporter film series, and Hobbs and Shaw. Over 1.5 billion worldwide is how much Statham’s films have grossed.
