Inter Miami CF will face off against Seattle Sounders FC in the 2025 Leagues Cup final on Sunday night.
It’s going to be the biggest game of the day, and it will definitely be a sold-out crowd at Lumen Field. Both teams are outstanding defensively, especially the Sounders.
The Sounders are legit. They have depth and make you play the game their way. The Sounders will come into this game to play their style of game. Miami CF must score at least in the first 60 minutes of the game to set the tone. It won’t be easy, but it’s a possibility.
Seattle and Miami are a perfect match for this final. Miami is facing more pressure to win this game. They have more at stake than Seattle. The Sounders are playing with house money in this situation. Seattle is relentless and aggressive. This is an innovative team, and Miami can’t miss a beat. Seattle beat the LA Galaxy to advance to the final. Miami beat Orlando to advance to the final.
The Sounders are looking to add more accolades to their franchise. They have won two MLS Cups, four U.S. Open Cups, and numerous other titles. Miami is looking to write a different script. Many naysayers feel that Miami always has the referees on their side.
The refs will be a factor in this game. They have to call the game fair and not make controversial calls at the wrong time. It’s either they will let Seattle and Miami play physical or go in another direction. We hope they don’t officiate a game like the Leagues Cup.
Lionel Messi is the biggest star in this matchup. Messi is looking to secure his world-record 47th trophy for club and country. Miami midfielder Rodrigo De Paul must come through for Miami in this game. He, along with Luis Suarez, is one of the X-factors for Miami to win.
The downside of this game is that neither Seattle nor Miami has a full-strength team, but it still makes the best team win.
