Jacob Bridgeman secured his first career PGA Tour title at Riviera. In the 100th year of the Genesis Invitational, Bridgeman entered the final round as the leader and remained so until the end.

Rory McIlroy, Aldrich Potgieter, and Kurt Kitayama all performed well in this tournament, especially in the fourth round. All of them finished behind Bridgeman. Tommy Fleetwood made an eagle on the 15. He had a good day as well.

Bridgeman had a lot of fun being on the golf course. He enjoyed competing against Rory and the other golfers.

“I thought I played really solid,” Bridgeman said. “I did exactly what I wanted to for a while. I just wasn’t really getting the breaks and the hops that I got the first few days. It got a lot harder at the end, a lot harder than I wanted it to. Towards the end, the last few holes, I couldn’t really feel anything. I was just on autopilot.”

Bridgeman was confident in the last couple of holes. His dream has come true, and he’s now a PGA Tour winner. It’s an overwhelming and emotional feeling for Bridgeman.

“It’s something that will change my life forever for sure,” Bridgeman said. I always thought I would do it and expected to do it, but until it happened, I didn’t think it was real.”

Bridgeman can’t believe this week turned out the way it did. Many people have supported him. He got married two months ago, and this is a very cool moment for him. His parents weren’t at the golf course, but he wishes they were. They’re definitely proud of this amazing accomplishment.

Bridgeman winning the tournament and being in terms will go down as one of the most special moments in golf for the 2026 season—Bridgeman’s score for each round: 66-64-64-72.
