A project about the Olympian gymnast Kerri Strug will bring back some flashbacks for everyone who watched the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

The new movie will stream on Netflix, and the project is titled Perfect. At first, Millie Bobby Brown was attached to the project, but now she’s no longer going to be a part of it. The departure stemmed from a creative difference between Brown and the producers.

We’ve seen this happen many times in the industry. Sometimes the Director, actors, and producers are not on the same page about the script, finance and many other issues. That’s why negotiations and conversations take place before production begins.

Gia Coppola was going to be the director of the movie, but now it’s in the hands of Cate Shortland. Ronnie Sandahl wrote the script. This is one of those movies where the screenplay must be really good because the story is inspiring, and the movie must knock it out of the ballpark.

Strug will always be remembered for her toughness and relentlessness at the 1996 Olympics. She got badly injured while she was performing. Her ankle bothered her a lot, but she fought through it. She kept going and truly embodied what a heroic, tough American should look like and be.

People who are not familiar with this true story can find it on YouTube and other resources. The 1996 Atlanta Olympics are among the most memorable Olympics ever held. Many names became famous and went on to pursue multiple opportunities.

Although Brown is no longer part of the project, her work with Netflix remains. She has worked with Netflix on projects such as Nineteen Steps, Picture It, and Enola Holmes 3. Of course, we can’t forget the big one. Brown and Netflix shared success with the hit series Stranger Things.
