The Devil Wears Prada 2 is dominating the box office, as expected. Prada 2 made over $90 million domestically and overall $247 million worldwide.
Will there be a Prada 3 incoming? Given how much it’s making at the box office, a trilogy is likely. The first one did great. It became one of the highest-grossing films of the summer in 2006.
We understand that people think that the sequel didn’t come out in the summer. It’s a spring release. By the time summer comes, it’s going to reach the same numbers or even better than the first one. According to many moviegoers, the second one is not better than the first one. It’s hard to top a masterpiece like the first movie. Overall, Prada 2 continues to receive praise for being funny and entertaining.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci all came back for the sequel. David Frankel, who directed the first film, came back to direct the sequel. Frankel has done great work on other projects, including directing two episodes of the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
Streep plays Miranda Priestky, Hathaway as Andrea “Andy” Sachs. The story focuses on Andy reuniting with Miranda as they navigate their careers, Amin’s the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Blunt plays Miranda’s former first assistant, and Tucci plays Nigel Kipling, a longtime right-hand man of Miranda. Nigel is a magazine staffer and art director.
The sequel introduced new supporting characters, including Lucy Liu as Sasha Barnes, B.J. Novak as Jay Ravitz, and Kenneth Branagh as Stuart. Branagh did a great job in the 2021 movie Belfast.
Prada 2 was shit in New York City and Milan. If there’s a Part 3, they shot it in New York and mixed it with another destination so that everyone could come back from the cast. The best thing the writer could do is ensure that Part 3 is better than Part 2.
