Tim Cook spent his last day as Apple CEO on Monday.

Cook took over for Steve Jobs and held the leadership position for 15 years. Cook will pass the baton to John Ternus. Apple’s value is $4.6 trillion. Under Cook’s leadership, Apple has continued to grow through its products and its streaming service, Apple TV Plus.

For big supporters of the tech giant, people are wondering what kind of CEO Ternus will be. Will Ternus take the company to new heights like Andy Jassy is doing with Amazon, or will Apple hit a rough patch under his leadership?

One thing is for sure: Cook will not allow Apple to fail because he’s still going to be around. Cook will challenge and encourage Ternus anytime he senses something isn’t going right. Ternus will have Cook’s full support. Ternus will thrive in the new CEO role.

Cook has accomplished milestones as the leader of the company, such as Apple Watch, AirPods, and Vision Pro.

Cook has shared a story in the past about Jobs and everything he saw and learned from him.

“Steve was a teacher,” Cook said. “He taught me the value of focus, the importance of simplicity, the fact that making things simple is so much harder than making things complex.”

Cook loves Math and always felt he was good at it. He’s also the first one in his family to go to college. Cook trusted what Jobs brought to the table. Jobs believed that small teams can do amazing things and get the job done.

“I thought I had a chance of a lifetime to work with the creative genius that started the entire industry, and I didn’t want to pass that up,” Cook said.

Selling to consumers is the recipe to Apple’s success. It’s a company that’s determined to bring satisfaction to its customers. Apple hires the best people to help challenge one another and focus on the winning path. It’s the end of an era. Cook should be content with what he achieved.
