Billionaire Elon Musk, responsible for the success of Tesla and SpaceX, gave an interview after the jury rejected the claim against Sam Altman’s OpenAI.
Musk recently ranked No. 1 on the Forbes Innovative 250 list. Musk discusses the future of humanity and technology.
“I don’t get up and say, ‘What should I innovate today? ” Musk said. Building the technology is necessary to extend life beyond Earth. There’s the Starlink internet, which is rebuilding the entire internet in space, but better. The Optimus robot that we’re developing at Tesla for the self-driving cars. The solar power at scale, you know.”
Musk is far from being finished. He has a lot of ideas, and we can’t imagine what else he could come up with over the next 10-20 years if his health holds up and everything else goes as planned. Does Musk have a favorite company out of all that he has or managed?
“I’m not really going to say that’s like what’s your favorite kid type of thing,” Musk said. “I think you can’t really say that.”
Every entrepreneur has someone to study and look up to. Musk is a voracious reader and spends his time studying the founders’ history. Musk is a fan of Nikola Tesla. He grew up and studied following his work. Musk also likes Thomas Edison. He also mentioned that he likes the work of William Shakespeare, Newton, and others. Henry Ford is another one he’s a fan of.
“He (Ford) basically invested in mass manufacturing of complex objects,” Musk said. “People didn’t really know how to do that before Ford. Ford really created the automotive industry on Earth. He pretty much started what became General Motors, and then he kinda got kicked out of that and then started Ford Motor Company.”
