Reddick had to deal with the tire situation. This race had some rough patches, but Reddick didn’t waver. He told NBC Sports what he had to do to win in Miami.
“We were backed in a corner, man. We had no other choice. I knew we were at a tire deficit, and here at Homestead, that’s a death sentence — but I don’t care,” Reddick told NBC Sports. “We did what it took to win this race. We’re fighting for a championship. … I couldn’t believe it. I just knew I needed to get even with him on his right side door; I didn’t care what he did. He raced me clean; I appreciate it. Just really, really excited that we’re gonna get to have a shot at this championship.”
One who’s truly happy for Reddick is his boss, Michael Jordan, owner of 23XI Racing. Jordan and Reddick have something in common.

Michael Jordan won a championship in Phoenix in 1993 when he defeated the Phoenix Suns in six games. The victory was his third of six championships.
Now, Reddick can bring a championship to 23XI Racing by winning at Phoenix. Jordan is not only a champion in basketball but also has the opportunity to be a champion in NASCAR.
This will be Reddick and 23XI Racing’s first title race appearance. Reddick won the regular season championship, and the win in Miami is his third of the season.
The NASCAR Cup Series Championship will be held on Sunday, November 10, at 2 p.m. EST.
