It’s a new year, and there’s always curiosity about what movies to watch yearly.
Here are some of the most anticipated movies to look at in 2025:
Captain America: Brave New World
Any Captain America movie would be on the “anticipated film” list for any particular year.
In this movie, we will see Anthony Mackie’s return. He’s a very underrated actor who continues to get better with each role. Mackie will have a big presence in this movie as Sam Wilson. The battle between Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross, played by Harrison Ford, will be something to keep an eye on.
Sinners
Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler have emerged as one of the most exciting actor-director duos in Hollywood. In the past, we have seen many frequent collaborators between actors and directors, such as Denzel Washington and Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, and Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson.
Jordan and Coogler will team up for the fourth time with Sinners. Singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld is attached to the program.
Jordan and Coogler have worked on successful films like Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Marvel’s Black Panther. The new movie will be released on April 18, 2025.
The Electric State
Netflix on March 14, 2025. It has an impeccable cast, including Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, and Stanley Tucci. Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Chris Pratt, Millie Bobby Brown.
The movie’s setting is the 1990s. The Russo brothers have the potential to make a great film, especially with a cast like this one, and it’s about robots.
Mickey 17
Bong Joon Ho is an exceptional talent coming from South Korea. He’s an Oscar winner for Parasite, and now he can make some Oscar noise for next season with his newest science fiction film, Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson.
It will be an exciting Easter weekend because Michael Jackson’s biopic will be released around the same time. The competition will be fierce, although it’s hard to compete with anything related to Michael Jackson.

If you love sports, racing, and Brad Pitt, this movie is for you.
Brad Pitt will star in perhaps the most anticipated sports film of 2025. There are high expectations for this movie to be great.
Superman
James Gunn is determined to knock this one out of the ballpark. The teaser trailer itself grabs your attention. Any Superman movie is a must-see.
Zootopia 2
The original film was terrific and one of the best-animated films in 2016. You had so much talent in the cast to do the voiceovers: Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Bonnie Hunt, and Jason Bateman.
The original film grossed over one billion at the box office worldwide. Shakira will return to do the voice for Gazelle.
Frankenstein
Guillermo Del Toro has come back to make another horror project. Toro will serve as the director and writer for Frankenstein, based on the 1818 novel by Mary Shelley.
The movie is about Dr. Pretorius, who tracks down Frankenstein’s monster, who believes it died in a fire forty years prior, to continue Dr. Victor Frankenstein’s experiments.
Oscar Isaac and Christopher Waltz are part of the cast. Those are two talented actors that anyone would want to see. This movie has so many gold stars around it. Netflix is the distributor and will release it on its platform later in 2025.
Mission Impossible 8 – The Final Reckoning
Two words – TOM CRUISE!!!
