Billionaire Elon Musk will be having Starbase in Cameron County, Texas territory.

It’s the same location where he operates SpaceX. According to BBC News, most SpaceX employees voted on Saturday to have Starbase in Texas. About 212 people voted for the decision.

SpaceX was fined nearly $150,000 last year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for dumping wastewater.

According to the Texas Municipal League, Starbase will be a Type C city, a municipality category of under 5,000 people that allows officials to impose a property tax of up to 1.5%.

Musk is not everyone’s favorite cup of tea. Musk is not a typical entrepreneur who goes with the flow and follows what everyone wants him to do. This decision has rubbed many feathers in the state of Texas and in the area of Cameron County.

Fair or not fair, Musk is not someone to bet against, and we could see the possibility of him focusing more on Starbase and less attention on Tesla.

The Popularity of Major League Soccer

If someone had said about 25-30 years ago that Soccer would be very popular in the future, many people would have doubted or laughed.

People are not laughing anymore. Major League Soccer continues to grow, and sponsorship revenue has continued to rise in recent years in the United States.

Major League Soccer revenue from a sponsorship standpoint has doubled compared to 2024. The sport has gained much more popularity lately, and one of the biggest reasons is Lionel Messi.

Messi’s impact has helped the brand, and we can’t imagine what it will be like when the 2026 World Cup comes around. It would be interesting to see soccer compete in the future with other sports or significant events from different sports, like the Super Bowl.

The 2026 World Cup can give the Super Bowl a run for their money in terms of ads and fan base. It’s improbable but it’s not impossible.
