Baseball fans were treated to an intense matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The Dodgers staged a late-game comeback to secure a 4-3 victory in extra innings.
The game remained a low-scoring affair through the early innings, with the Dodgers taking a 1-0 lead in the fourth thanks to an RBI double by Will Smith. The game featured stellar pitching, timely hitting, and dramatic momentum swings, keeping spectators on edge until the final play.
A Pitcher’s Duel Early On
Yoshinobu Yamamoto tossed seven innings of one-hit ball, losing his no-hit bid on Ketel Marte’s single leading off the seventh. The Japanese right-hander struck out nine on a career-high 110 pitches.
The Diamondbacks struggled to generate offense until the ninth inning, when Gabriel Moreno homered to tie the game at 1-1, forcing extra innings. In the top of the 10th, Corbin Carroll launched a two-run homer, giving Arizona a 3-1 lead and putting pressure on the Dodgers.
