St John’s Red Storm (8-4) dominated Harvard (6-7), 85-59 on Tuesday night at Lou Carnesseca Arena.

Red Storm showed impeccable ball movement, especially from the start of the game. The three-point shooting was practical. Forcing turnovers and scoring in the paint were essential. It’s been a season of ups and downs for the Johnnie, but on this night, everything was going their way.

When the Johnnies make their three, they become a dangerous team to watch out for. It’s still a long season. We have to give this team a chance to try getting on a winning streak.

The Johnnies had all the help from the leaders: Zuby Ejiofor, Bryce Hopkins, and Ian Jackson. All three men made outstanding contributions to the team.

Ejiofor added nine rebounds. Hopkins made 6 of 9 shots with a 3-pointer, and Jackson knocked down 4 of 8 from 3-point range. Jackson is a former North Carolina Tar Heel. We know what he is capable of when he’s consistent and impacts the game offensively and defensively. We hope his sophomore season with the Johnnies gets better from here.

St John’s next game will be against Big East rival Georgetown Hoyas in the nation’s capital on New Year’s Eve at 8 pm ET.
