Academy Award winner Will Smith commits to star in David Gordon Green-directed action-thriller ‘Supermax,’ about two FBI agents investigating a murder that has taken place in the world’s most secure prison.

It’s Smith’s first film since Bad Boys: Ride or Die, in which he starred alongside Martin Lawrence. The movie made $405 million at the box office on a $100 million budget.

Smith has a track record of starring in action thriller films. He has done more than 10 pictures for the genre, dating back to the first Bad Boys movie. It’s a genre that suits him and makes a lot of money at the box office. Will is one of those actors who likes to be the lead, the main hero, and earn a lot at the box office. It’s his formula, but it doesn’t mean he stays away from other genres, because he is known for doing biopics as well.

It will be the first collaboration between Smith and Green. The 51-year-old filmmaker has done impressive work, especially in comedy, directing films such as Pineapple Express, The Sitter, and Your Highness. Green has been a filmmaker since 1997, and he began his career making independent films. Aside from films, he directed TV shows such as Red Oaks, Eastbound and Down, Vice Principals, and The Righteous Gemstones.

The last movie Green directed was 2014’s Nutcracker, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was distributed by Hulu. Ben Stiller and Linda Cardellini starred in the movie. Nutcrackers had a cliché plotline, but it received average reviews from critics and audiences.

Green has years of experience directing movies, but this new film with Smith will be his biggest-budget project to date. It’s a good opportunity for Green to see if he can deliver a great movie. He’s proven he can do comedy and horror, and now he has to write a good script and bring it to life on screen.

Amazon MGM Studios is attached to his project. Green has worked with Amazon in the past, directing five episodes of the series Scarpetta, starring Nicole Kidman, Bobby Cannavale, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
