NBC canceled the police procedural drama series, The Hunting Party, after two seasons.

The series follows a team that is assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist. JJ Bailey is the showrunner of the series. Bailey is the writer and executive producer of the upcoming series, Getaway.

The Hunting Party stars Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia.

Although the series didn’t work out at NBC, it might not be the final stop. The series could land on a platform like Netflix to help the show gain more exposure and viewership. It’s happened in the past. NBC is a platform known for producing police, doctor, and lawyer shows. The network is seeking ways to grow and expand its brand.

The first season of The Hunting Party drew the attention of many viewers. The show has very intense episodes and impeccable acting. Let’s see what the future holds for the series. NBC shifts its focus to four new scripted series. Two of the scripts are for drama, and the other two are for comedy series.

NBC is hoping for new shows to deliver, and those names are: Sunset P.I., a comedy series; Newlyweds, also a comedy series; Line of Fire; and The Rockford Files, both dramas. When we think of Line of Fire, it brings back memories of the 1993 film, In the Line of Fire, starring Clint Eastwood, who recently retired as an actor and director.

NBC and Peacock are thriving in sports programming. The network has a lot of sports and entertainment. Therefore, they will be fine in that regard. Now, they’re hoping to find success with new comedy and drama series.
