Venus and Serena Williams will make their return to the tennis court together for a doubles event at Wimbledon.

It will be the first time in four years that the sisters have come back to compete together. Both sisters are in their mid-40s and have shared massive success at Wimbledon. The tandem has won six times at Wimbledon. Winning is a priority for the sisters, especially on this grand stage. Overall, the sisters have won 14 Grand Slams together. Their last win was in 2016.

Serena hasn’t competed since 2022. She recently partnered up with tennis player Victoria Mboko at Queen’s Club in London last week. Unfortunately for Mboko, she suffered a knee injury during a single match. It’s tough because Mboko has a lot of potential to become a great future tennis player. Hopefully, this knee injury doesn’t diminish her skill set. Knee and leg injuries are serious in sports.

Venus knows what it’s like to make a comeback after going through health situations. She’s been a fighter and tenacious since she came onto the scene in 1994. One of the critical moments of Venus’ career came in 2011 was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. The disease could’ve destroyed her psychological confidence. She did take some time off, but what we should respect about Venus is her constant fight back and her performance for the fans.

It’s going to be an unforgettable moment when the sisters get back on the court for Wimbledon. The event will start on June 29. It is one of the most prestigious events of the year for tennis. What the Rose Bowl means for College Football, Wimbledon means for tennis. Attending Wimbledon should be on everyone’s bucket list if they’re fans of the sport.
