Fort Lauderdale Latino Film Festival Selects 11:00 and A Sorrowful Birthday

Fort Lauderdale Latino Film Festival officially selected independent films, 11:00 and A Sorrowful Birthday, directed by Miguel Mike Medina. FLLFF is a new film festival and they highly support Latino filmmakers with great storytelling.

Their festival will run from October 8-10. The short film, 11:00, will be part of films that were shot with a phone. As for A Sorrowful Birthday, will be part of regular short film programs.

It’s always amazing to see Latino film festivals creating their own platforms and support their fellow Latino artists. The festival will be around for years to come and they have a chance to do something special.

Halloween in Uptown Heights Wins Best Horror Short Film

Happy Monday! I’m so excited to share with you all that my film ‘Halloween in Uptown Heights’ won Best Horror Short Film for the February 2021 competition at Gralha International Monthly Film Awards. A festival that takes places in Brazil.

I definitely didn’t see this one coming. Halloween in Uptown Heights is one of my least favorite films because I felt that it was rushed. For the film to receive its first win, it’s truly remarkable.

‘Room 526’ Receives Second Festival Selection

Ain’t nothing but more good news. We start the week with exciting news. My film ‘Room 526’ received its second festival selection. The film was selected by Golden Short Film Festival.

This festival is unique because not only they notify you the status of your film, but also the festival sends you how they graded your film. Here’s what I’m talking about:

That’s amazing, ain’t it? I wish all festivals can do this, but I understand that festivals receive too many submissions. Therefore, festivals won’t have time to send out grading scores to every filmmaker.

Room 526 will be competing for the GOLDEN THRILLER SHORT CATEGORY!!! I’ll keep you updated with more details. Thank you Golden Short Film Festival.

‘Room 526’ Earns First Selection

Happy Friday! My new upcoming short film, ‘Room 526,’ received its first official selection by Andromena Film Festival.

Room 526 is a Suspense/Thriller film. While staying in New York for a mini-vacation, Kevin gets the news from his best friend that someone they both know is out of prison and wants revenge against Kevin for turning him over to the cops years ago

This movie is set out to be released sometime this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
