The Arizona State Sun Devils’ impeccable run continues. The Sun Devils outlasted the BYU Cougars 28-23.
The Cougars tried to win the game with a Hail Mary but came up short. The fans went insane as they stormed to the field.
The Sun Devils (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) have won four straight and are now in the College Football Playoff discussion.
Running back Cam Skattebo rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns for the Sun Devils.
Sun Devils coach Kenny Dillington has done an outstanding job running this team. It is one of the biggest turnarounds of the season.
After the game, Dillington spoke with the media and was very energetic from the start of the interview.
“We won the football game, we beat another ranked team,” Dillington said. “These guys battled, these guys fought, these guys found a way to win it.”
BYU (9-2, 6-2) has lost two in a row. They still have a chance to make the playoffs, but they will need to win and get some help.
BYU has had a rollercoaster month of November, with a lack of urgency, especially in offense.
Quarterback Jake threw for 297 yards and a touchdown but also had two interceptions, which cost the Cougars big time in this game.
Arizona State will jump ahead of BYU in the rankings with the victory. We will have to see when the AP Poll rankings are released, either Sunday or Monday, to see how much the Sun Devils will be higher than the Cougars.
