This year’s U.S. Ryder Cup captain, Keegan Bradley, won the 2025 Travelers Championship.
Bradley made a birdie on the 72nd and had an impressive comeback victory over Tommy Fleetwood, who had most of the momentum throughout the weekend.
The 39-year-old Bradley finished two under 68. With this win, he moves to seventh in the world rankings and ninth in the American Ryder Cup qualification standings.
“I still can’t believe that happened,” Bradley said during an interview. “You have dreams like that as a kid of walking up to 18th here, for me, and hearing the crowd the way it was, I had to wait a second to hit my shot because they were going so crazy. I loved every second of it. I had fun. Sometimes winning isn’t fun when you’re doing it, but today it was.”
As for Fleetwood, he was in a great position to win the tournament. Fleetwood played great on Saturday in Round 3 and made some good shots on Sunday’s final round. But he did get off to a rough start. He had three bogeys in the first four holes.
Fleetwood finished second behind Keegan Broadley. Fleetwood is one of the most beloved golfers in today’s game, and many people were pulling for him to win. It’s one of the most heartbreaking losses of his golf career.
We will have to wait and see for the next PGA Tour event to see Fleetwood secure his first PGA Tour win. The Travelers Championship was his 159th career start.
Russell Henley had a strong performance on Sunday. He finished tied for second along with Fleetwood. Harris English and Jason Day were also sensational on the golf course. Scottie Scheffler was making his comeback after leading the tournament’s first two rounds, but he ran out of magic.
Bradley will earn 3.6 million after winning the event.
